Our Story
Exeter Action for Women started life in 2018 as a working group formed by local women in response to drastic cuts to funding for women’s services in the Exeter area.
In October 2019 we became a community interest company, with the aim of supporting and connecting women in Exeter.
We are currently fundraising to support, develop and facilitate a programme of women’s drop-in groups in the city, with a long-term plan to create a not-for-profit housing community, providing access to a network of permanent affordable housing for women.

Meet the team
Donna Hole has been working on homelessness projects in Exeter since 2000. She currently manages a young person’s housing project (which was previously the safe space for women). Donna looks all after our policy, safeguarding and training requirements, along with coordinating our amazing team of events volunteers.
Rivka Jacobs has over 20 years' experience working with people in a social care setting. Ten years ago she re-trained as a milliner and is passionate about supporting women using the creative process. Rivka is the lead facilitator and programme developer for our women's drop-in sessions, and our in-house social media channels expert.
Vicki Parks is a local independent business owner with a diverse background in music, marketing, teaching, events management and community arts. She oversees our business development, general administration and logistics, along with any PR, marketing and design tasks that need doing!
All three women have full-time day jobs outside of their voluntary roles as Directors of Exeter Action for Women CIC.
